题目：On Variational Problems of Nematic Liquid Crystal Droplets
摘要：In this talk, I will describe a recent work, joint with Prof. Li, Qinfeng, on variational problems modeling the equilibrium of nematic liquid crystal droplets. It studies the minimization problem

inf\{ E(u, U)=1/2\int_U |Du|^2 +\int_{\partial U}f(<u,\nu_U>) \},
\]
among all open sets $U \subset B_R$ with fixed volume V, and all Sobolev maps $u\in H^1(U, S^2)$.
I will present some results on the existence of minimizers, and the uniqueness of optimal liquid crystal droplets with homeotropic anchoring condition for the director $u$ among certain types of open sets
$U$.

题目：Vanishing shear viscosity limit for compressible Navier-Stokes-Fourier equations
摘要：In this talk, we will introduce our recent works on vanishing shear viscosity limit for compressible Navier-Stokes-Fourier equations with cylindrical symmetry. The presence of strong boundary layer effect is the main issue. Some boundary layer equations and the convergence rate are derived. This talk is based on a joint work with Yinghui Wang and Weihao Zhang.
